As a wheelchair user and someone who loves to travel, I think ‘Tourism is for Everybody’ is an important campaign and one that will benefit myself as well as so many other people and businesses. It will help people discover great accessible places whilst raising awareness and improving accessibility.
Being diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy at a young age has never stopped Emma from doing all the things she wants to do in life and that includes travelling in her powered wheelchair. Emma created Simply Emma as a way of sharing her experiences living with a physical disability and showing others that we’re only limited by the limits we set ourselves. Having written for a number of disability organisations, websites and magazines, Emma also wants to show that travel is exciting, liberating and most importantly, accessible.
